History
Marques de Monistrol is one of the main producers of cava, having established cava production on the San Sadurni d'Anoia estate in 1882, in the heart of the Penedès, 40 km southwest of Barcelona. Since then, quality has been synonymous with the production of some of the best sparkling wines in Spain. Since 1882 our cavas have been made following the traditional method. Every year our cavas win international awards for their excellent quality.
Elaboration
Following the traditional method, this wine is only made in exceptional vintages.
After a light maceration of the specially selected grapes, the wine is subjected to an extensive aging in the bottle for 35 months before it is released on the market.
pairing
Wonderful on its own and delicious with Spanish cured ham. That combines with the most delicate raspberries and currants in your dessert.
